SUNDAYS AT 9:30a.m.
Sunday School is not just for the young. At Central Christian we have
four Adult Sunday School classes to choose from. All are welcome and
you are encouraged to bring your Bible and find the class that's right
for you.
- THE
ADVENTURERS' CLASS - Led by Dan Richards, this traditional
lecture-style class focuses on studying the biblical readings according
to a set lectionary. This formal class meets
in the Parlor on the
first floor. For more information go to the Adventurers'

- C.S.I.
- DISCIPLES
- Using the "Bible Quest"
curriculum, this class looks at the Bible in
very open, non-literal ways. If you like to ask questions and are
interested in a not so traditional way of exploring the Bible, then
please join us. Everyone is expected to speak up and all
opinions are respected. Jan McLendon and James McGuffee are
the facilitators for this class. This class meets in room 221.
The name C.S.I. can mean many things. Two possible interpretations...:

- THE
PAIRS~N~SPARES CLASS - This
lively discussion class is led by Renee McKinney and Bill
Hill. This class gets its' name from the fact that many of
the members have a spouse that often has another Sunday morning
function (e.g. teach another Sunday School class, work in the kitchen,
help with the 5th Sunday band) and thus they are a "spare".
Some Sundays both partners are able to attend the class and
then they are a "pair". So, each Sunday you never know
exactly who will show up but you can always count
on thought-provoking Bible study and discussion.
This class meets in the Friendship Room (room 105).
- PARENTING CLASS - Using the ARK (Adults Relating to Kids)
program this class is designed to teach adults how to relate to
kids in caring, supportive ways that enable youngsters to feel valued
and loved and that elevate children’s self-esteem. This
class is led by Nikki Stahl and meets in room 218 (across the hallway
from the Church Nursery).
