we invite non-members to hold their weddings here at Central Christian Church.

Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for considering Central Christian Church for your wedding.
Here is a list of our most frequently asked questions and answers.
Hopefully, having this information will help you with your decision in
selecting your wedding date and, perhaps, choosing Central Christian
Church for your wedding ceremony.
Q. Do you have to be a member of Central Christian Church to get married there?
A. No. We consider non-member weddings an honor and a compliment.
Q. We have a minister that we would like to perform our ceremony. Do you allow guest ministers?
A. Typically our ministers perform the ceremony. For questions or
special requests, please contact our Senior Minister or Associate
Minister.
Q. Do you have an organist or pianist, or do we need to find one?
A. Central Christian Church has an excellent organist and pianist, our
Director of Music. He will help you choose your music by playing
samples for you and will provide the titles and composers of the music
you have selected so that you can include them in your program.
Q. What dates do you have available for a wedding?
A. You will need to call our office with preferably 2 dates that you
would consider holding your wedding on. We do not book weddings two
weeks before and one week after Easter or in December.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The total amount for a wedding at Central Christian Church is $1,550.00. This fee includes:
- Use of the facility for the rehearsal and wedding
- Minister for the rehearsal and wedding
- Director of Music, organ and piano, for the rehearsal and wedding
- Wedding Coordinator to conduct the rehearsal; provide
assistance, instructions and directions before and during the wedding;
and work the sound system.
- Custodial/Security person to prepare/clean the
dressing rooms and sanctuary before and after the rehearsal and wedding
and watch that unwanted guests don’t intrude on the ceremony and
the dressing areas during photos or the ceremony.
- Candelabras and the Unity Candle Base are for use at no extra charge.
Q. We would like to have a string quartet or trio. Do we still have to pay the Director of Music?
A. No. But because his professional position is overseeing all the
musical activities of the church, only musicians approved by the
Director of Music may play for any of the services held at Central
Christian Church. If the Director of Music does not play for your
wedding, the fee is reduced $300.00
Q. How many people can be seated in the sanctuary?
A. Our sanctuary will seat approximately 350-400 people in the lower
section and approximately 50-75 people in the balcony. While it is
rare, we have accommodated services for 500+ guests.
Since every situation is different and each wedding is unique, you may
have other questions that have not been addressed here. Please
feel free to ask. Central Christian Church does have printed copies of
the rules and guidelines for having your wedding available, and those
will be provided upon request. Again, we thank you for considering
Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), for the very special
event of your wedding.
